I want to express my deepest gratitude to the team at Kuck Baxter for their extraordinary work, but especially to Dustin Baxter. After a joyful vacation with my daughter in Orlando, Florida, our lives changed overnight. We noticed unexplained bruises on her body and rushed to the doctor—only to receive the devastating diagnosis of myeloid leukemia. The illness was advancing at an incredible pace. Within five days of the first symptom, her platelet and hemoglobin levels had dropped to dangerous levels.

Following medical advice, we boarded an emergency flight to Emory Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. We couldn’t wait for her scheduled appointment—the leukemia was too aggressive. We ran straight to the ER. Her treatment plan would span five years, and while her life was the priority, I was also deeply concerned about how we could remain legally in the United States once her visa expired.

I’ve been a single father to my daughter since she was one year old. Her well-being has always been my mission, and in this moment of crisis, I knew I had to find the very best legal support to protect her future. That’s when I found Kuck Baxter. THANK GOD!!! Dustin Baxter personally took my daughter’s case.  His professionalism, empathy and his tireless desire to help us were on full display from the moment we met and he took our case.

He and his extraordinary team secured my daughter’s humanitarian deferred action, work permit, and social security. These approvals weren’t just legal documents, they were lifelines. They allowed her to continue receiving the high-level medical care she needs to fight this disease. This literally saved my daughter’s life.

Kuck Baxter’s compassion, precision, and relentless advocacy gave us more than legal status—they gave us stability, dignity, and hope. As her sole caregiver, I am forever grateful for the doors they opened and the peace of mind they provided during the most critical time of our lives.

Thank you, Kuck Baxter, and thank you Dustin Baxter for standing with us!

With heartfelt appreciation,

Jorge Manun
