EXPERTISE

Ms. Melendez is a partner at Kuck Immigration Partners, LLC.  Her practice focuses primarily on immigration and employer/immigration compliance matters. She represents multi-national corporations, educational institutions, religious organizations and local employers on all immigration related matters. Ms. Melendez represents clients on inter-company transfers, all temporary and permanent work visas, investment visas, including working with counsel around the world to help U.S. companies on cross-border employment issues.  In addition, Ms. Melendez also represents foreign nationals as well as their respective agents on O visas and P visas. She has extensive experience representating individuals and their families before the Department of Homeland Security's Citizenship and Immigration Services, Immigration Customs and Enforcement as well as the Department of Labor, Board of Immigration Appeals, and in federal court.

Ms. Melendez is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES AND AWARDS

Ms. Melendez is a former adjunct Professor of Immigration Law at Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clark Law School and is a frequent lecturer on immigration issues. She is on several advisory boards including the Salt Lake Chamber’s Immigration Task Force and has been appointed by Governor Herbert as a member of Utah’s Commission on Immigration and Migration. As noted in Utah Business Magazine, she has been recognized by her peers as being one of Utah's Legal Elite, Best Lawyers and as one of the top Hispanic leaders in the State of Utah.
